1. Introduction

Cat-Angel ("we", "us", "our") operates the SoulPath application ("App"). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, and protect your personal information when you use SoulPath.

By using SoulPath you consent to the practices described in this Privacy Policy.

2. Information We Collect

Information You Provide

  • Account information: Email address, display name, and password when you register

  • Profile information: Date of birth, birth time, birth location, timezone, and full birth name (used for astrological and numerological profile generation)

  • Child profiles: Information about child users created under your account

  • Practice data: Your selected practices, archetype, and learning preferences

  • Feedback: Any problem reports or feedback you submit through the App

Information Collected Automatically

  • Usage data: Which lessons you complete, streaks, and practice history

  • Device information: Browser type, operating system, and device identifiers for push notification delivery

  • Push notification tokens: If you grant permission, we store your device's push notification subscription to deliver daily practice reminders

3. How We Use Your Information

We use your information to:

  • Create and manage your account and profiles

  • Generate personalised astrological and numerological insights

  • Deliver your daily practice plan and track your progress

  • Send daily practice reminder notifications (if you have opted in)

  • Improve the App and diagnose technical issues

  • Respond to your feedback and support requests

  • Communicate important updates about the App or your subscription

4. Birth Data and Sensitive Information

SoulPath collects birth date, birth time, and birth location to generate personalised spiritual profile content (astrological placements, numerological calculations). This information is:

  • Stored securely in our database

  • Used only to generate your personal profile content within the App

  • Never sold or shared with third parties for commercial purposes

  • Deletable upon request (see Section 8)

5. Children's Privacy

SoulPath supports child profiles created and managed by a parent or guardian. We are committed to protecting children's privacy:

  • We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13 without verified parental consent

  • Child profiles are linked to and controlled by a parent/guardian account

  • Parents may delete child profiles and associated data at any time

  • Child content within the App is designed to be age-appropriate and safe

If you believe we have inadvertently collected information from a child under 13 without consent, please contact us immediately at franci@cat-angel.com.

6. Data Storage and Security

Your data is stored securely using Supabase (supabase.com), a secure cloud database platform. We implement the following security measures:

  • Row-level security policies ensuring users can only access their own data

  • Encrypted connections (HTTPS/TLS) for all data transmission

  • Authentication managed through Supabase Auth with industry-standard security practices

  • Regular security reviews

While we take reasonable measures to protect your data, no system is completely secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security of your information.

7. Data Sharing

We do not sell your personal information. We may share your information only in the following circumstances:

  • Service providers: With Supabase for database and authentication services, bound by their own privacy policies

  • Legal requirements: If required by law, court order, or governmental authority

  • Business transfers: In the event of a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction

  • With your consent: For any other purpose with your explicit consent

8. Your Rights

You have the right to:

  • Access your personal data held by us

  • Correct inaccurate personal data

  • Delete your account and associated personal data

  • Export your data in a portable format

  • Opt out of push notifications at any time through your device settings or App settings

  • Withdraw consent for data processing where consent is the legal basis

To delete your account: Go to Settings → Account → Delete Account, or email us at franci@cat-angel.com.

9. Push Notifications

If you grant permission, SoulPath will send daily practice reminders via push notifications. This requires storing your device's push notification subscription token in our database.

  • You can withdraw permission at any time through your device or browser settings

  • Withdrawing permission will stop notifications but will not affect your account or data

  • Push notification tokens are deleted when your account is deleted

10. Cookies and Local Storage

SoulPath uses browser local storage to:

  • Maintain your login session

  • Remember your preferences

We do not use tracking cookies or advertising cookies.

11. Third-Party Services

SoulPath integrates with the following third-party services:

12. Retention

We retain your personal data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account:

  • Your personal profile data is deleted within 30 days

  • Aggregated, anonymised usage data may be retained for analytics purposes

  • Backup data may persist for up to 90 days before being permanently deleted

13. International Transfers

SoulPath is operated from South Africa. Your data may be stored on servers located outside South Africa through our service provider Supabase. By using the App you consent to this transfer.

14. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes through the App or by email. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Policy.

15. Governing Law

This Privacy Policy is governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa, including the Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA).
